Delivery & Returns Policy
All orders within the UK are sent via Royal Mail's first class recorded service, all orders are dispatched same day provided they are in stock and received by 2:30pm. If your item isn't in stock please allow 1-3 days before dispatch. All orders can be tracked via a live tracking code which you will receive in your dispatch e-mail, where you can track your order live on the Royal Mail and website.
We will notify you if there are likely to be any delays with the order and you will be given the option to cancel the order should you wish.
If for some reason, you need to return part or all of your order, it's easy. Simply follow the instructions outlined below. All returns are acknowledged by email or mail and refunds will be credited to the original payment method.
- 1 ) Returns: All unworn and unwashed merchandise purchased from the It's Fancy Dress Time website may be returned for a refund within 14 days from receipt of merchandise (*). Our costumes are sold in re-sealable packaging, which allows you to check suitabillity; as such we request these items to be returned in their original condition, together with any original packaging.
- 2) We will not refund: Items that have been worn, washed or soiled. Additionally for hygenic reasons unsealed items including; makeup, eyelashes, tights, wigs, underwear and masks. Some costumes have sealed wigs, in such cases if the costume is not appropriate please do not open the wig, as once it has been opened refunds cannot be given.
- 3) Instructions for returning merchandise: When returning an item it is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you return the parcel using a "signed for" delivery service, to ensure safe return of the goods to us.The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility. All returned items must have, your name and address, details of the product, the reason for return and whether you require a refund or exchange. On receipt of the item and inspection will be made and once the item is deemed to be refundable will we refund all costs for the item minus the postage cost.
- 4) Liability: We shall be under no liability in respect to any defect arising from; fair wear and tear, negligence or abnormal working conditions.
- 5) Disputed Items: Any returned merchandise that we receive which is outside of this Returns Policy will be defined as 'Disputed'. Such dispute items will not be refunded or exchanged and a reason for this decision will be provided. We are happy to re-ship such dispute items back to you at a cost to yourself; otherwise they will be destroyed within 90 calendar days from their receipt back to us.
- 6) Late Delivery: If the merchandise arrives too late for your event, refuse delivery for the merchandise and it will be returned to us. Alternatively you can return them as outlined above. If It's Fancy Dress Time or our couriers are at fault we will refund all cost of merchandise and Postage & Packaging.
If you have ordered a product by mistake or change your mind please contact us as soon as possible (bear in mind that our distribution time is 3pm) and we will cancel your order and refund the transaction. If you do not contact us within this time frame please review our Delivery & Returns Policy.
